Electronic mail, commonly called email or e-mail, is a method of exchanging digital messages from an author to one or more recipients. Some early email systems required that the author and the recipient both be online at the same time, instant messaging. Today's email systems are based on a store and forward model. Email servers accept, forward, deliver and store messages. Neither the users nor their computers are required to be online simultaneously; they need connect only briefly, typically to an email server for as long as it takes to send or receive messages.

Drafts are an area of storage where an email is being written but has not been finished or sent.

A password is a key used to gain access to an email system that allows the system to confirm that you are the authorized person to use it.

Bcc: stands for "blind carbon copy." This is similar to the Cc: feature, except that Bcc: recipients are invisible to all of the other recipients of the message (including other Bcc: recipients).

Cc: stands for "carbon copy." Anyone listed in the Cc: field of a message will receive a copy of that message when you send it. All other recipients of that message will be able to see that the person you designated as a Cc.

Subject line represents the subject of the email.

The TO field represent the receivers email address like abc@gmail.com

An email attachment is word, PDF, or image document that is attached with the email. Example; resumes attachment with the email.

The term "spam" is Internet slang that refers to unsolicited commercial email (UCE) or unsolicited bulk email (UBE). Some people refer to this kind of communication as junk email
